Wear Purple DayPurple is supposed to be the color for Borderline Personality Disorder recovery. I was just roaming around Facebook and discovered that one of the Borderline groups on there is trying to start "Wear Purple Day" on Thursday, May 1st to raise awareness. This will be an excellent start to BPD Awareness Month which will be May. I'm going to plan to wear purple myself. I just have to find something purple to wear.
To insert a little humor
(also found this on Facebook)
YOU KNOW YOU'RE BORDERLINE WHEN....
1. Even your teddy bear is ignoring you.
2. When your roommate pops out for milk, and you scream "Please don't leave me!"
3. You have uttered the words, "I'm not an adult, I'm a baby..."
4. You have fainted/held your breath/hyperventilated/produced tears/made yourself sick just to get attention...
5. You have had an unhealthy obsession with at least one mental health professional...
6... And you know where they live!
7. When It's 3am and you are desperately logging onto ebay because you NEED an Etch-a-Sketch NOW!!
8. Your boyfriend doesn't just dump you, he leaves the county..
9. You have the crisis team on speed dial...
10. ...and they recognize your voice
11. The mental ward is your second home. In fact, you are thinking of asking them if you can leave some stuff ready for next time...
12. When you shriek "It's not my fault, I'm Borderline!!" as an excuse for being arrested/ getting wasted and crying in the corner/ hiding under the bed/ not turning up for work/ going missing
13. You've read all of these and cringed...
14.... and you can still think of more!!

Question... Have you ever just stopped going places or seeing certain people on an impulse? Or is it just me? :\
Great list! Which Facebook group is this?
Are you on FB? If you want, send me an email and I can add you to my "friends."
W.C., Yeah I'm on facebook and myspace both.
The webpage for Wear Purple Day is here
Great stuff! It is so nice to see people actually having fun with this incredibly stigmatizing diagnosis! Keep it up!
