Well my husband didn't show up to the court hearing this morning. It was a hearing to enter the order to separate our belongings and debt, and it was to award me the house.
I tried to contact him last night to give him a chance to tell me when he wanted to come get what's left of his stuff, and I was going to ask him if he wanted the house. He did not answer when I called. Go figure, the one time I'd want to talk to him and he wouldn't answer/call. Since he did not respond to me, I had the lawyer enter the order as is.
Unless something changes, I should be divorced in 20 days. So I'll be able to celebrate my divorce and Halloween at the same time.
I found out this morning that my husband did at least consult a lawyer last week, but either the lawyer was bad and didn't advise him to stop harassing me or he just ignored the lawyer and did it the other night anyways.
The ex
I have been talking to one of my ex-boyfriends a lot lately on the phone. It's really nothing more than just two old friends talking. I missed talking to him in the last few years because we were once really good friends, even after the break-up.
Last night I mentioned something he said to my best friend, and her reaction was "Why are you still talking to that loser?" I found that to be pretty funny. I think she could have said that about all my exes; they are all losers. R is almost the only non-loser I've ever dated. There was one other non-loser, but that was back in my teen years. Other than those two, I could call them all losers. They never had money, so I had to pay for everything. A bunch of them used drugs or drank all the time. They all treated me badly.
So yeah... losers... But that doesn't mean that they can't be decent friends. I'm really glad that R trusts me enough to have guy friends.
