You have no doubt seen or heard the commercials: "Where does depression hurt? EVERYWHERE. Who does depression hurt? EVERYONE." Mental illnesses can consume you, take over your entire life and hurt everyone around you if you let it. I am no exception.

My life feels like I am stuck riding on a rollercoaster in the middle of a hurricane. I have ups and downs, and I have left a path of destruction in my wake. My sanity dangles on a tiny fragile string, and through this blog I am giving the world a look into my broken mind and my unstable life.

In the end, I am just a girl trying to maintain my sanity in a candy-coated world of misery. Here you'll get a glimpse at just how true those commercials are. Keep your arms and legs inside the blog at all times, hold on tight, and prepare yourself for a very bumpy ride ...

BPD Awareness Month

Tomorrow starts both Borderline Personality Disorder Awareness Month and Mental Health Month.

Also, according to a BPD group on Facebook, there's a movement to make Saturday "BPD Awareness Day" by wearing black and white clothing. I'll be wearing black & white, and I hope you guys will do it also to help raise awareness.

If you want to read some more information on BPD, click here. I'll write more about both BPD month and Mental Health Month in the coming days.

hi Jennifer!

i LOVE your blog!!!

i looked for one of those "follow" things, cannot find it. plz let me know how i can stay up to date with your awesome blog.

i have a super important question for you!! lol, you'll prob laugh, but i would LOVE to know, HOW ON EARTH did you get the ability to have that cute "Love Jennifer" with a heart thingie at the end of EVERY entry??? DYING to know :)))
it's awesome & creative & unique & i'm all over it!

i simply must follow you. i will bookmark you for now until i hear further instructions :)

your intro especially touched me, as you are my TWIN. it's sooo very much a "balancing act" to deal w/this diagnosis, disoreder, w.e!

i have BPD, bipolar type 2, alcoholism, & those are just my MENTAL frailties! i have physical ones as well; kidney disease & a rare lung disease.

i truly feel your pain & of course now i wish we were neighbors, alas...i doubt you live anywhere near me :)

plz feel free to check out my blog, i am pretty much all over the place, it was designed to discuss BPD only, but once i got writing, the words just came pouring out! i need to get it alll out..
i am also thinking of changing my "mini-profile" on front page, to include my "frailties", but am super scared i will recieve; judgement, haters, etc! you are sooo COURAGEOUS to announce that up top <3

k, sorry for rambling, i DO carry on <3

have a great weekend :)

I added the top navigation bar back to the blog so you can hit follow. Thanks for the kind words. I designed the "Love Jennifer" icon myself and put the code for it in each blog entry.
