You have no doubt seen or heard the commercials: "Where does depression hurt? EVERYWHERE. Who does depression hurt? EVERYONE." Mental illnesses can consume you, take over your entire life and hurt everyone around you if you let it. I am no exception.

My life feels like I am stuck riding on a rollercoaster in the middle of a hurricane. I have ups and downs, and I have left a path of destruction in my wake. My sanity dangles on a tiny fragile string, and through this blog I am giving the world a look into my broken mind and my unstable life.

In the end, I am just a girl trying to maintain my sanity in a candy-coated world of misery. Here you'll get a glimpse at just how true those commercials are. Keep your arms and legs inside the blog at all times, hold on tight, and prepare yourself for a very bumpy ride ...

Personality test says I'm like Allison from "Breakfast Club"

I've said several times before here on the blog that I love taking personality quizzes and finding out what they say. Tonight I was using StumbleUpon, and a Celebrity Similarity Test came up. I took it, and the result says that I'm most like Allison from the movie "Breakfast Club."

It says: "Allison is the most socially isolated of the group. She is extremely timid and quiet, saying nothing to the group for several hours. She seems to have no friends, and is in detention because she had nothing better to do with her Saturday. Despite her seeming timidity, she does enjoy getting attention for being offbeat and weird—stealing Andrew’s wallet, and using dandruff as snow on a picture she’s drawn. She doesn’t want to fit in, and is probably the standout social misfit of the group."

Maybe that fits me. I don't know. I have watched that movie a few times, and I guess part of me thought I was similar to her, but I just don't know really.

It also says that I'm very similar to Darth Vadar from "Star Wars," which makes sense because I've heard people say the character may have had borderline personality disorder. Then it says I'm similar to Simon Cowell of "American Idol," which doesn't surprise me at all because I'm brutally honest, and Greg House from "House." I've never really watched "House," but the scenes I have watched always struck me as similar to how my brain works.

Yup - I'm Allison also. :)

Thanks for posting this. I am reassured that I am "least similar to Simon Cowell".

Briliant!
