You have no doubt seen or heard the commercials: "Where does depression hurt? EVERYWHERE. Who does depression hurt? EVERYONE." Mental illnesses can consume you, take over your entire life and hurt everyone around you if you let it. I am no exception.

My life feels like I am stuck riding on a rollercoaster in the middle of a hurricane. I have ups and downs, and I have left a path of destruction in my wake. My sanity dangles on a tiny fragile string, and through this blog I am giving the world a look into my broken mind and my unstable life.

In the end, I am just a girl trying to maintain my sanity in a candy-coated world of misery. Here you'll get a glimpse at just how true those commercials are. Keep your arms and legs inside the blog at all times, hold on tight, and prepare yourself for a very bumpy ride ...

1. Do you live close to where you grew up? Why?
I'm exactly 140 miles away from the house I grew up in

2. Have you ever been so angry that you almost lost control?
Dude that's how I am most days of the week

3. Are you a fan of a musical act that slightly embarrasses you?
I like a couple Justin Bieber songs. I don't like to admit that

4. Is there a movie that always makes you cry?
A Walk to Remember

5. Who is the most famous person that you've met?
I've met a bunch. None of whom I really cared too much to meet. Working for a newspaper as a reporter, you get to meet some celebrities from time to time

6. Before you leave your home, what must you have?
Cellphone, keys, all six of my debit cards (yes I have six different bank accounts), a little cash, and my medicine cabinet (a.k.a. my purse)

7. What do you miss the most from being a kid?
Lighting bugs on fire. I was a disturbing kid

8. Tell us about a passion of yours that your readers would not expect.
I'm reading books like crazy lately. It's becoming an obsession. Look at my book blog by clicking here

9. At what age do you think you'd be to think, “I've had a great run”?
Um, what does that mean exactly? I'm not even sure
