You have no doubt seen or heard the commercials: "Where does depression hurt? EVERYWHERE. Who does depression hurt? EVERYONE." Mental illnesses can consume you, take over your entire life and hurt everyone around you if you let it. I am no exception.

My life feels like I am stuck riding on a rollercoaster in the middle of a hurricane. I have ups and downs, and I have left a path of destruction in my wake. My sanity dangles on a tiny fragile string, and through this blog I am giving the world a look into my broken mind and my unstable life.

In the end, I am just a girl trying to maintain my sanity in a candy-coated world of misery. Here you'll get a glimpse at just how true those commercials are. Keep your arms and legs inside the blog at all times, hold on tight, and prepare yourself for a very bumpy ride ...

Never Ending Meme, Part Two

Sunday Stealing: The Never Ending Meme, Part Two

21. Did you go to your high school prom?
I went to the prom both my junior and senior years. I'd sort of like to forget those memories, especially how my date the junior year wore an eye patch and pretended to be a pirate. Long story....

22. Perfect time to wake up?
Well I go to work around 3:30 p.m. so I prefer to stay in bed until 1:30 or 2 p.m.

23. Perfect time to go to bed?
I like to get in bed by 2 a.m., but it never happens. It's normally 4 or 5 before I drag myself to bed. I keep staying up way too late reading (Click here to see my new blog that I'm using to track all the books I read this year)

24. Do you use your queen right away in chess?
You ask that like you assume I play chess

25. Ever been in a car accident?
Only minor accidents. I've had a bunch of people back into my car (always their fault)

26. Closer to mom or dad…or neither?
Close to my mom. Haven't spoken to my father in many years, and I like it that way

27. What age is this exciting life over for you?
What in the world is that question even asking?

28. What decade during the 20th century would you have chosen to be a teenager?
1990s

29. Favorite shoes you have EVER owned?
I recently bought these shoes for my wedding

30. Do you have an article of clothing you have had since you were in high school?
I have a pair of black mesh shorts that I got during a leadership conference when I was 17 years old. I still wear them sometimes to bed. It's beyond time to trash them, but I can't stand to do it

31. Were you in track and field?
I did track a couple years, not by choice. I had an incident when I fell and seriously hurt a muscle in my right hip when I was 12 years old. It somehow led to my right hip being bigger than my left one even today. It's easy enough to hide, but who seriously has uneven hips? LOL

32. Were you ever in a school talent show?
I had to participate in a couple music contests (singing and playing the clarinet), but they weren't really talent shows

33. Have you ever written in a library book?
Hasn't everyone done that?

34. Allergic to?
Um, let's see. I have general seasonal allergies all year long so I'm allergic to about everything in the atmosphere. I'm allergic to pet hair and dust. I'm allergic to penicillin. I can't use most kinds of perfumes or things with fragrances (lotions, soaps, etc.)

35. Favorite fruit?
I love bananas and strawberries almost equally
